I’m thrilled to announce that I’m looking for health writers, medical journalists, licensed therapists and counselers, speech-language pathologists, nurse practitioners, physicians, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), occupational therapists (OTs), registered dietitians, and other experienced writers and authors to pitch and take original bylined and non-bylined writing assignments on small business (private practitioner interest topics), therapy, wellness, and mental health topics of all kinds for SimplePractice’s Pollen Blog, SimplePractice’s Resource section, and MeetMonarch.com.

Article length ranges from 800–2,800 words, based on the specific topic.

We pay a flat fee of $400 per article.

Contact me via direct message on Linkedin JessBarron, Twitter/X @jessbeegood, Bluesky @jessbeegood, or here on Medium in the comments on this article.

If you’re a licensed therapist or counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, or registered dietitian, be sure to mention that. We prize your expertise and authority.

If you’re a new writer or journalism student, please be sure to share a few journalistic writing samples as that helps us get a sense of your writing style and strengths.

Our writers’ guidelines

Please be sure to read our Monarch Writers’ Guidelines before contacting me.

We have high journalistic standards and prize science-backed information with at least 1–2 quotes from licensed experts and references to 2 or more peer-reviewed studies

All articles include science-backed information, and any claims cited need to be backed up with valid…
